I remember a thread on a music message board where someone pitted Led Zeppelin vs. Hot Chip in a poll as to which is the better band. Of course, it was in jest...kind of. Anyway, it had me delving into this UK dance pop band early on. Here's a couple of cute girls lip syncing to their new single.

I'd forgotten about this Noveller album which came out early this year. It's dreamy atmosphere is perfect for hazy summer days. This new video, which matches that sound, luckily reminded me.

Last month Morrissey opened his Nashville show with a cover of Lynn Anderson's Rose Garden. Last week Anderson passed away. What makes this video even better is that fact that it's a multi-camera audience smart phone shoot.

It's as if Kurt Vile stood in the shadows while his old band mates and fellow Philadelphians, The War On Drugs, took the spotlight for a year or so. Guess he was just working on his new album. Here's a the first we've heard of it.

Thundercat's sound is reminiscent of 70s funk. Here he combines that with samurai warriors.

Kind of strange to be getting a new video for a song from Dum Dum Girls 2011 release. Especially considering they had an album out last year. Oh well, the black and white cityscape is cool.
