Ryan Adams and Taylor Swift discuss 1989 Over my vacation I spent a rainy afternoon drinking Sicilian homemade wine and comparing the Taylor Swift album 1989 to Ryan Adam's take on 1989. It seems a strange union to some but for me it made sense and made for a fun exercise for me and the others. Adams says he did his take on the album with The Smiths in mind the whole time. He brings up The Smiths as the two artists sit on a couch together and ask each other questions. And whoever thought the two of them would not get along really doesn't get it....
